August 1, 2009
LAKEWOOD, CO – Remington Homes, a fourth-generation Colorado new homebuilder, unveiled new ranch-style patio homes at its grand opening on Saturday, August 1 from 1-4 p.m. at Solterra in the Rooney Valley. More than 300 guests attended the grand opening.
Guests toured the new model home, enjoyed fantastic food and learned more about the12 Tuscan-style design options all with low-maintenance living and the coveted five-star-plus certification from Energy Star Homes, a program of the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA. Remington Homes will build 74 new luxury patio homes in its first phase.
The homes will feature first-floor living and are targeted primarily toward active adults. Most of the homes will be ranch-style homes. “Remington Homes has really carved a great niche in the low-maintenance patio home market that largely attracts active adults, who are the fastest growing population segment in metro Denver,” said Sue Selle, president, the Genesis Group.
According to Ron Hauptman, president, Remington Homes, energy savings and comfort are as important to active adult homebuyers as first-floor master bedrooms, exceptional kitchens and plenty of entertainment areas. He also says that they will appreciate the amenities and strong sense of community in a master-planned community such as Solterra.
Each of the new patio homes will come with a stunning array of designer features, including a roomy kitchen with island, double ovens, tile countertops, a large great room, vaulted ceilings, oversized windows, fireplace, hardwood floors in the entryways, kitchens, and nooks, extras not commonly associated with patio homes.
