Solterra Builder Remington Home Sales Were Up 30% in 2008; Native Colorado Company Pioneered Metro Active Adult Sales
February 19, 2009
LAKEWOOD, CO — Home to the 2008 Parade of Homes, Solterra already is pushing the two million dollar mark on the sale price of a single home and in less than a year is approaching the $28 million sales mark.
Last year, the newest homebuilder at Solterra, fourth-generation Colorado company Remington Homes, increased its sales by 30 percent in west metro Denver, focusing largely on active adult homebuyers. This year at Solterra, Remington Homes is out to corral some of the rapidly expanding west metro active adult luxury homebuyer market.
According to Sue Selle, president, The Genesis Group, Remington Homes is pursuing one of the growing herds of home buyers. "Remington Homes has really carved a great niche in the maintenance-free patio home market that largely attracts aging baby boomers, the fastest growing population segment in metro Denver," said Selle.
To get to Solterra, exit C-470 at the new Alameda Parkway interchange and head east a short distance to your first right at the top of the hill, Indiana St., then descend the hill to where Remington Homes new patio home sites are delineated along fully paved streets and sales have just gotten underway.
The main elements of the Remington Homes active adult formula for new home sales success include:
- spacious main floor master suites
- open and airy interior spaces
- common-sense energy efficiency and low maintenance
- a strong sense of community
James Schwartz, Carma Developers, believes that success in new home sales today involves seeing around the bend. He was just named 2008 marketing director of the year by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, largely for his company’s success in developing Solterra amidst tough challenges. "You have to give people what they truly want," he said. "The world, and especially the West, are changing with lightning speed, so you have to really know who your buyer is and soon will be."
Carma Developers provides a customer concierge for its communities, a specialist who fields questions from home shoppers, homeowners, REALTORs, home builders and the community.
